David has 20 years of experience in mezzanine debt, private equity and specialised finance. He is currently a Partner at Vantage Capital, the largest independent mezzanine fund manager in Africa that is also a significant shareholder in Servest. He is a qualified CA (SA) and a CFA charterholder. He holds a Bachelor of Business Science (Finance honours) and Masters in Commerce from the University of Cape Town. David joined the Servest Board in February 2024 and is PSIRA Grade B registered.

He is a talented, resilient leader with over 16 years’ experience in finance and auditing including governance, capital raising, mergers and acquisitions, operations, team management and development, systems implementation, company restructures, strategy and implementation. He serves on the Servest board as a non-executive director. Tshepo joined Servest as Board Member in June 2021.

After completing his articles, Dennis’ career began in merchant banking with some of the larger financial institutions. He became the Finance Director of a listed company, Colfin Holdings, at age 30 before leaving the corporate world to start a corporate finance consultancy with two partners. After selling the business, Dennis briefly went back into the corporate world focusing on mergers and acquisitions before founding Servest with Kenton Fine in 1998. Initially Finance Director of the Group, he was then appointed as Managing Director in 2003, followed by his appointment as CEO from 2006 to 2011 and then as Deputy Chairman.

Dennis currently serves as a Non-Executive Director on a number of boards in South Africa and the UK.

She practiced as an attorney for 7 years at a boutique law firm in Durban after completing her articles of clerkship. She currently holds the position of Legal Director and oversees all legal matters within the Servest Group.
