Servest Security employees receive top accolades

The Security Industry Alliance (SIA) and the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA) were joint hosts of an annual banquet at which 21 Servest Security employees were recognised for their extraordinary achievements in the course of their duties

The Security Industry Alliance started the Crime Prevention Awards Ceremony six years ago and this year awarded
various individuals who went more than the extra mile in the course of their duty by:

  • Committing acts of bravery
  • Encountering danger
  • Assisting others in the prevention of crime
  • Protecting people and or their property

In attendance were key industry organisations, SACCI, BUSA, customers, companies, trade union officials and various
dignitaries from government including the Ministry of Police, SASSETA, PSIRA, SAPS, Civilian Secretariat of Police and the
Chairperson of the Commission for Employment Equity.
Winner from Servest were categorised as follows:

  • Guarding – 17
  • Cable Theft – 3
  • Response – 1

A special award was made posthumously Xolani Xaba who tragically lost his life while diligently protecting the lives and
property of customers. We were honoured by the attendance of a member of his family to receive the award.

Lungile Mendy Majola

Assisted a customer with the delivery of her baby in Galleria Mall and was commended for her excellent skills when paramedics arrived on the scene. Masibulele Coki

Xolani Xaba

Prevented a robbery at SA Taxi Ranjespark. He intercepted criminals entering the premises to steal taxis and was tragically killed in the line of duty. Servest Security mourns the tragic loss of Officer Xaba who was a valuable asset to the company.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
