ACCIDENT ON CAMPUS

10 November 2017

It is with great sorrow that we confirm that a Servest colleague, Mokhithi Johannes Moeti working as part of the maintenance team at the University of Pretoria (UP) campus, has passed away in an accident whilst on duty on the morning of the 6th of November.

Police and emergency services were immediately called to the scene. Both Servest and UP are working hand in hand with SAPS and the Department of Labour as they investigate the matter. The investigative team has thus far been unable to conclusively identify the root cause of this fatal accident, however, the SAPS and the Department of Labour are still finalising their investigation. Servest and UP has and will continue to cooperate with SAPS and the Department of Labour.

Servest and UP will also continue to support Mokhithi’s family, friends and colleagues, and our thoughts and prayers remain with all of them.

Today our focus is on respecting and honouring the memory of our colleague, Mokhithi. May he rest in peace.
